AG Interactive, a division of Cleveland, Ohio-based American Greetings Corp., and PhotoWorks American Greetings online photo publishing company and community, launch personalizethis custom photo products. The new line of photo products will be available April 14 at more than 200 company-owned American Greetings and Carlton Cards stores nationwide and online at www.photoworks.com.
“Consumers have trusted American Greetings for more than 100 years with their personal expression and gifting needs. With the launch of personalizethis, we’re giving consumers more ways than ever before to express themselves, share their memories and connect with friends and loved ones,” said Sally Babcock, senior vice president of Marketing, AG Interactive Digital Photography Group.
The personalizethis line will feature a variety of custom photo gifts, including: n ew photo book themes for the 8.5-by-11 personalized hardcover photo books and leather-bound 12-by-12 Metropolitan photo books, m essenger bags, c herry wood jewelry boxes, w ooden wine boxes, k eepsake boxes, a prons, and mugs.
”There’s no better way to celebrate friends and family than by giving and receiving personalized photo gifts,” said Lanae Weir, vice president of marketing, PhotoWorks. “Shopping for these new products in stores provides those hands-on consumers the photo personalization features they crave, and allows them to take advantage of all the great offerings our online customers have loved for years.”
In November 2007, PhotoWorks first entered into a merger agreement with AG Interactive for $26.5 million, and in October 2007, the company bought Webshots from CNET Networks for $45 million
