Fujifilm Corp., Tokyo, Japan, reported earnings for the first quarter ended June 30. Revenue for the quarter was ¥653.667 billion (US$5.91 billion), a 5 percent decrease from the ¥688.293 billion reported in the first quarter ended June 30, 2007. Olympus reports 3.8 percent drop in first-quarter net sales, 43.6 percent drop in net income

Olympus Corp., Tokyo, Japan, reported ¥254.331 billion (US$2.311 billion) in net sales for the first quarter ended June 30, a 3.8 percent decrease from the ¥264.418 billion reported in 2007. Net income for the quarter was ¥6.521 billion (US$59.268 million), a 43.6 percent decrease compared to the ¥17.544 billion reported in 2007.

Independent Photo Imagers hold member meeting and trade show

The Independent Photo Imagers (IPI), Henderson, Nev., held its 26th Members Meeting and Trade Show Aug. 10-13 at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, Nev. The event brought out more than 450 IPI Member and IPI Supplying Partner participants and more than 90 IPI Supplying Partners and IPI Member to Member Business Program booths.
