Allain V. Blais,
78, passed away March 13 under the loving care of his family, including daughter Susan, son James, grandson James, and the staff of CareLink of Jackson, Mich. Blais was born and raised in Chicago, Ill., and was a die-hard Bears and Cubs fan. He retired as vice president and general manager of the Fuji Photo Film Color Paper Division. He worked for Fuji, now Fujifilm, for 25 years. Blais was also a veteran of the Korean War. Blais and his second wife Jean moved to Jackson, Mich., in 1997 after retirement to be near children and grandchildren. He enjoyed living in Jackson and was a member of the Cascades Men’s Exchange Club.
  Surviving are his sister Rita Blais Chaiser; his wife of 32 years Jean; children Susan Jean Blais, James Joseph Blais, Marian Lucille Blais; grandchildren Susan Jean Hendrick, Amy Lynn Blais, James Richard (Linda) Hendrick, Matthew Richard (Michelle) Meyer, Jeremy Jansen, Amber (Simon) Wilson, Philip (Anna) Blais, Megan Blais, Nicholas Blais, Grace Blais, and Savannah Blais; great-grandchildren James Richard Hendrick II, Emily Meyer, and Grace Meyer. Blais was preceded in death by his first wife Virginia Darlene Blais, and his two sons Allain William Blais andRichard Harold Blais.

·    Micron Technology Inc., Boise, Idaho, announced the appointment of Ronald C. Foster to the position of chief financial officer and vice president of Finance, effective April 1. Foster served as the CFO of FormFactor Inc., a maker of semiconductor testing equipment, from March 2005 to March 2008. Micron manufactures and markets DRAMs, NAND flash memory; CMOS image sensors, other semiconductor components, and memory modules for use in computing, consumer, networking and mobile products.

·    Whitech USA , West New York, N.J., names Tobe J. Fitterman the new marketing coordinator for the company. While relatively new to the photo industry, Fitterman brings long-term business-to-business marketing, development and communication practices to Whitech. She has previously worked with retailers such as Foot Locker, Giorgio Armani, and Hertz Corp. on national roll outs, says Whitech.

·    Michaels Stores Inc., Irving, Texas, reports President and CFO Jeffrey Boyer will resign, effective April 4. The company will conduct an internal and external search for a CFO. In the interim, Michaels named Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer Lisa Klinger to be acting CFO and vice president of Finance. Corporate Controller Richard Jablonski will be the principle accounting officer.
