Our free photo classes can prevent you from this:

April 13th, 2008 by RobertH · No Comments · Take better Pictures

OK, so if you have worked in a camera store as long as I have, you’ve met a person like the one pictured below who turned the camera around backwards to take pictures.

Backward_Camera

Afterwards, they come into your store with the ‘technology bewilderment glaze’ covering their faces and the conversation goes something like this; “You know, this digital camera is brand new.  I just bought it, spent a lot money so I could get great photo’s at my favorite nephew’s wedding.  I know I took over 100 shots at the ceremony and reception and not a single picture has come out,,, WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS @!#$ - %$#@ CAMERA?”

Hmmm, as we examine each image,,, one at a time,,, all 137 of them,,, the mole that appears in the lower left corner of each frame starts looking frightfully familiar.  That, coupled with the wicked flash rash just above the right eye brow of my perplexed wedding photog leads me to believe I can elevate their picture taking prowess through more conventional camera positioning techniques…. i.e, turning the camera around so the lens faces the picture’s subject instead of the picture taker!

I really love my job.  It is so fulfilling to help others.  With just a few photo tips,,, and directions to the closest drug store, because of me they will take better pictures.   And with a few Noxzema - Neosporin applications they should also be able to keep that nasty forehead flash burn from festering up too.  My work is done here ,,,, Another satisfied customer!

Now, with tongue out of cheek.  To be honest,  cameras are getting smaller and designs are not always uniform. This is an easier mistake to make than one might think.

At Ritz Camera Centers, with each digital camera purchase, we give you our digital xtra package that includes $280 worth of our exclusive photo classes at no additional charge. FREE!!!  We teach everything from composition to lighting.  Come in and get yours today!
