· The Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T), Washington, D.C., appointed three new members to its board of directors: Raja Bala, Graham Finlayson, and Masahiro Hosoya. Bala is currently a principal color scientist involved with research and development in color science and device color management at Xerox Corp. Finlayson, is a professor in the School of Computing Sciences at the University of East Anglia (UK). Hosoya is a chief fellow in the Toshiba Corp. R&D Center Masahiro Hosoya in Kawasaki, Japan. IS&T encompasses all aspects of imaging, with particular emphasis on digital printing, electronic imaging, color science, photofinishing, image preservation, silver halide, pre-press technology, and hybrid imaging systems. It serves more than 5,000 imaging professionals throughout the world.
· Xerox Canada, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, appointed Rick Sellers to vice president, British Columbia Sales Operations, effective immediately. This is a new position for Xerox Canada, as British Columbia was previously bundled within the company’s Western operations. Prior to this appointment, Sellers was director of Xerox Canada’s national sales management process, responsible for field manager coaching, as well as strategy and implementation of sales standards and reporting processes across the country. In his new role, Sellers is responsible for leading the organization’s sales activities across the province, including overall strategic direction, sales coverage, marketing and customer support programs. Sellers first joined Xerox Canada in 1995.
