The month of April is nearly halfway over, can you believe it? May is going to be here soon enough…and do you all know what event will be upon us before we know it?
If you guessed “Mother’s Day”, then you are correct. And what better way to celebrate the day and show her that you care than with a personalized gift!
This year, there are many options available to make that gift EXTRA special. One of my favorites is a personalized photo book made from a mixture of old and new photos. And you can make one right here at Ritzpix.com!
(Note: If you do not have digitized older photos, you can simply bring them to your local Ritz or Wolf Camera and ask them to scan them for you! Some stores have this really neat service called Scan Man! where it scans up to fifty 8×10 images at high speeds. Try it out! You’ll like it!)
When making a photo book, you have many different options on how to put it together. You can choose different page layouts, text, colors…whatever you’d like. There’s also different sizes, from 4×4 soft cover books (perfect for pocket-sized brag books) to 8.5×11 leather hard cover (awesome coffee table conversation pieces). They do take a bit of time to make, but trust me…the effort will be well worth the look on her face when she sees the finished product. It will be “Wow!”.
In addition to photo books, you could also make a calendar that starts from any month. Those can be 12-month or 18-month, depending on what you’d prefer.
Another great idea is to design your own greeting card to go with your perfect gift. It will compliment the gift perfectly and it’s a LOT cooler than just going to a drug store and picking out some mass-produced card.

I tried the online photo book setup - it is SWEET!
I was amazed at how simple it was to customize a wonderful, professional looking photo book.
The workspace areas and click and drag functionality were INCREDIBLE!
Unfortunately… the whole experience fell apart when I tried to order… The shopping cart seems to be stuck in a loop. I keep going from Order Summary to Payment Info.. but then instead of Order Finished… it kicks me back out to SHOPPING!!!
What is up with that? And I really, really wanted to order that book!

The new photo book online engine is sooo easy and fun to use. We’ve added more book sizes and dozens of page templates. You can let the software build a book for you in just a few mouse clicks, or really get creative and add text, clip art and image enhancements.
